Public Works Department
The Department of Public Works is in charge of planning, design, construction, and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure along with many of the City’s public services. The department is responsible for storm and sanitary sewers, terrace trees, street maintenance, traffic control, street lighting, sidewalks, bridges, managing contracts for refuse collection and airport, GIS mapping, and many other services.
The Department of Public Works can be broken into several general operating divisions. The Public Works Department consists of 12 full time employees who maintain the City streets, sidewalks, storm drains, sanitary sewers, and wastewater treatment as to ensure the safety, health & welfare of the citizens.
