Reedsburg Municipal Court

Types of Citations

The municipal court only handles city ordinance offenses. State statute violations are handled through the Sauk County court.

• Non-criminal traffic citations (e.g., speeding, stop light violations)
• Ordinance offenses (e.g., alcohol, curfew, city licensing violations)
• Minor disorderly conduct or battery violations

If You Received a Citation

You must do one of the following:

1. Pay the bond ("fine") prior to your court date
2. Appear in court on the date/time shown
3. Enter a "Not Guilty" plea in person or in writing before your court date

Court Date Information

The date on your citation is your initial appearance to enter a plea. It is not your trial date.

• Guilty or No Contest: Resolved at initial appearance
• Not Guilty: Scheduled for a pre-trial conference
