Voting & Elections

Polling Location:

All citizens within the Reedsburg City Limits vote at the Reedsburg Recreation Center, located below City Hall at 134 S. Locust Street. Please use the entrance off of Vine Street. Look for the voting sign.

Poll Hours:
Polls are open from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm each election day.

Voter Registration:
All first-time voters in the City of Reedsburg must register before a ballot can be issued to them. You can register at City Hall anytime during normal business hours, or you can register at the polls on election day. Registration forms may also be mailed to City Hall as long as they are accompanied by a photocopy of proof of residence (examples are on registration form). Mailed registration forms must be received by City Hall no later than 20 days prior to an election. (See forms section below to download a Voter Registration Form.)

Absentee Voting:
An elector does not need to provide a reason when applying for an absentee ballot. The ballots are normally available two weeks before the election. Wisconsin state statutes require that electors either vote on the premises or have an absentee ballot sent via mail. Ballots may not be carried out of the clerk's office.

An elector may cast an absentee vote in-person at City Hall during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm). City Hall will be open until 5:00 pm on the Friday before the election to accept absentee ballots.

An elector may also request an absentee ballot be sent via mail by submitting a completed Application for Absentee Ballot and an acceptable copy of photo ID by the Thursday before the election. Absentee ballots must be received by 8 PM election day.
