Business Center and Industrial Park Information

The City of Reedsburg and the Reedsburg Industrial Development Commission (RIDC) have a long tradition of economic development activity in this central Wisconsin community. The Industrial Park began in 1978, but the history of industrial development begins much earlier with businesses like Grede Foundry which began in 1948.

Due to recent land acquisitions by the City, the Reedsburg Industrial Park currently has 50 acres of land for sale all of which is zoned for heavy industrial use and has rail access. The Reedsburg Business Center was created in 1997 to offer sites for high tech businesses, research firms, offices and light manufacturing. The Business Center features high speed Internet services through the use of an optic fiber network created by the Reedsburg Utility Commission’s communications utility. There are 25 acres of land available for sale in the Business Center that surround an attractive water detention pond.

Reedsburg is in Sauk County, Wisconsin and is located approximately one hour’s drive west of Madison. The city’s current population is 9,301 and grew 34% during the 1990’s. Reedsburg is served by a network of state highways (STH 23/33) and is only 12 miles from I 90/94 with several interchanges. Reedsburg has a general aviation airport with a main runway nearly 5000’ in length. Reedsburg is strategically located at the mid-point in the 400 miles between the Minneapolis and Chicago markets.

Land in the Industrial Park and Business Center is ready to level and ready to build with all infrastructure in place. Both areas are within tax increment finance districts (TIF) and there are incentives for development of quality plants and offices. Occasionally there are existing buildings available and tours of these facilities can be arranged.
