Amber Alerts & Missing Kids

"Amber Alert" is an emergency notification system to request assistance locating an abducted child.  If a child is abducted, the assistance of the community is vital.  The more people that are looking for a child, the more likely it is the child will be recovered safely.

There are multiple ways in which the public will be informed of an Amber Alert.  One method is the Emergency Alert System, the same system used to notify the public about severe weather emergencies.  In addition, cellular phone users may subscribe to receive free text message notification of Alerts in their local area.  Please consider subscribing your cellular phone to the free text-notification service shown below.
