K-9 & Narcotics Enforcement Team
Reedsburg Police Department employs a Narcotics Detection Canine named “Remi”. She is a Belgian Malinois born in Hungary in 2019 and graduated from Jessiffany Canine Services in 2022. Remi is certified by the North American Police Work Dog Association.
Remi works a regular patrol shift riding in a marked patrol car with her K-9 handler, Officer Chris Gallagher. They are members of the Reedsburg Police Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handlers Association.

On a regular shift Remi patrols the streets of Reedsburg responding to all types of police calls. Remi patrols the hallways and parking lots of local schools in an attempt to keep drugs off school property. The Reedsburg Police Narcotics K-9 Unit assists other police departments and school districts when asked to do so under a mutual aid agreement. Remi receives updated training on a regular basis. She attends K-9 workshops and training seminars throughout the State.
