Garbage & Recycling
The City of Reedsburg's garbage and recycling is contracted through Republic Services. An annual fee for each residence is added to the tax bill for all one and two-family dwellings. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your trash pick-up, please contact:

Trash Pick-Up
Trash will be picked up on normally scheduled days. Please have trash to the curb by 6:00 a.m. When there is a holiday prior to your scheduled day, your pick-up will be one day later. Please do not put any yard waste into your trash container, it will result in your trash not getting picked up.

Recycling
Recycling is mandatory in the City of Reedsburg. Please place all recyclable materials in the bin provided to you and it will be picked-up.
Republic Services Recycling Instructions
Disposal of Large/Special Items - Available Year Around
Republic Services requires stickers to be put on all items left on the curb to be disposed of. The stickers are available to purchase at Reedsburg City Hall, 134 S Locust Street, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Pick-up is one time monthly, the last Tuesday of every month is for household items that are not electronics. The last Thursday/Friday of every month is for appliances and electronics.

Items that do not go into the Garbage Container:
- Yard waste, Tree trunks, stumps
- Large furniture items that do not fit into container. IE: couches, chairs, mattress, end tables, shelves, etc.
- Construction materials: IE: cabinets, lumber, shingles, siding, carpet, demolition materials, old lumber, rock, brick concrete, etc.
- Car parts, oils, oil filters, car batteries, fuel, tires
- Bed Springs, Carpeting of any kind, eaves, electronics, batteries
- Iron Pipes

Helping Hands is normally cheaper in pricing and also will arrange for quicker pick-ups than Republic Services. Please see their website and/or Facebook page for further information.
Leaves and Yard Waste:
Leaves, garden waste, grass clippings and flowers are picked-up from curbside in both spring and fall, for a duration of 2-3 weeks. (Usually October and April)The City of Reedsburg will announce the dates on our website Homepage and our Facebook page. To dispose of yard waste at other times of the year, citizens within the Reedsburg City Limits may dump their grass clippings, brush and garden materials at the Yard Waste Disposal Site, at 2420 County Hwy V. The site is open seven days a week from 7 am - 7 pm. Please follow the posted signs for placement of materials. All items must be left loose, no bags allowed. This is for yard waste only - NO GARBAGE.
City of Reedsburg's Light Bulb Recycling Program
The City of Reedsburg partners with Reedsburg Utility Commission to recycle light bulbs
You can drop off Light bulbs at the City of Reedsburg's Waste Water Treatment Plant, 802 Division Street, Reedsburg, WI 53959.
Collection hours are M-F 7am-3pm at the WWTP. 802 Division Street, Reedsburg, WI 53959.
They will count the bulbs and convert them to lbs. to get the total charge.
Residents with less than 10 bulbs can drop them off for free.
