Emergency Management
In 2016 the Emergency Operation Plan was changed to create the City Emergency Operations Director. Joshua Kowalke was named as the City’s Emergency Management Director by resolution.
Joshua Kowalke was also recommended by Sauk County Emergency Management.

The USGS has placed a river gauge in Reedsburg to help monitor the Baraboo River follwoing thw 2008 Flooding. These gaugaes are manually read. In 2017 the City Council approved placing a new Baraboo River Gauge north of the City nearthe Village of La Valle. The gauge is under development.
